Richard Theiss - Cinematographer

Richard Theiss fuses the artistic and technical components of cinematography with the logistical and practical elements of today’s media communications to provide digital cinematography for broadcast, online, and corporate clients. He has experience with a variety of high definition camera systems including Sony, Canon, and Red.

Initially providing over a decade of video production services for television commercials and motion pictures, Theiss successfully migrated to corporate media communications. But the sirens of cinematic creativity beckoned and he ultimately chose to return behind the camera to work with the variety of expression found in video production.

Richard Theiss also specializes in wildlife documentary work, including extensive underwater filming. As a professional diver for over 25 years and staunch conservationist, he has filmed ocean creatures from the tiniest of reef inhabitants to massive great white sharks to the stark beauty of the Arctic Circle. A member of the prestigious Explorers Club, Theiss is dedicated to capturing nature and underwater images that will impress and move viewers to preserve and protect our precious natural resources – above and below the waves.
